Lovebirds Ranveer-Deepika win top honours at Filmfare
The 61st Filmfare Awards have come to an end. Here are a few tidbits before the curtains came down:

After great music and musicians, comes a fine performer. Salman Khan took to the stage to perform to a mix of his numbers, starting with his yesteryear hit Didi tera dewar deewana, followed by Prem ratan dhan paayo and other songs.

Fawad Khan and his wife Sadaf were among the last ones to make an entry on the red carpet. The Khoobsurat star looked terrific with his better-half. Kapoor & Sons seems to have been a satisfactory experience for him we think. It reflects on his face!

Priyanka Chopra won an award for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. And the tally for Bajirao Mastani shot up another notch! And guess who received it for her? Dear friend Mastani does the honours.

Anil Kapoor was presented with the award for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film Dil Dhadakne Do. Anil sir, we tell you, it pays to play your age on screen!

In the meantime, Irrfan Khan stepped on stage for a little jig, which we hear, was on the lines of an item number. Okay, this award nite had a lot of shocking moments in store! After a silly item number, it was time for the real one. Alia Bhatt stepped on stage to kick-off her performance, which was an ode to the music by the Bhatt camp. Clap, clap!

Ranveer and Deepika's relationship has percolated to the siblings in their families. Anisha, Deepika's sister, was seen sitting and chit-chatting with Ranveer's sister Ritika.

Amitabh Bachchan dedicated his award of the Critics' Choice Best Actor for Piku to his daughter Shweta kyunki betiyaan khaas hoti hain.

Ranveer Singh dedicated his performance to his mentor Aditya Chopra. This is what makes him so endearing! He danced to his mentor's film Mohabbatein's song Aankhein khuli ho ya ho bandh among other tracks.

Shah Rukh and Alia's performance did give us an insight into what their chemistry will be in Gauri Shinde's next, produced by Karan Johar.

Finally, Deepika won  her award for Piku as the year's Best Actress. Following in Bachchan Sr's footsteps, she read out a letter which her father Prakash had written to her years ago. Emotional! She got a standing ovation from her beau Ranveer.

Soon after, Ranveer touched Deepika's parents' feet on receiving his trophy for the year's Best Actor. All in the family?
